Meet Our Curator

Ellen Martin

Ellen Martin was born on New York City’s Museum Mile and played in Central Park. She was obsessed with the rocks and bones at the American Museum of Natural History and was addicted to the vastness of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At age nine, Ellen moved to a Brooklyn far removed from the Brooklyn of today where she received her BA in Art History from Brooklyn College.

Ellen is an artist, an artists’ advocate, and an independent curator who has been creating exhibits for the Oyster Point Gallery since 2018. She also curates window exhibits for the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council, where she serves on the Exhibition Committee and is a member of the Board. In 2013, she started the Jersey Artist Registry, an online gallery designed to showcase the talent of New Jersey photographers, painters, and sculptors. Previously, she was a Director of Marketing for Deltek, Inc. and an artists’ representative.
