Donna Payton

Artist in Residence 2026

Donna Payton

Donna Payton’s work explores the complex relationships among energies, structures, and connections. Working in both two- and three-dimensional media, she produces multiple mixed-media projects simultaneously and organizes them by theme.

The “Works on Paper” series investigates theories of life energy through images of hearts, brains, pinwheels, and spirals, combined with stripes and dots. The pieces in the “Interconnected” series demonstrate connections with humanity, nature, universal energy, and the interconnectedness of all beings and everything.

Donna’s extensive exhibition history includes the 2025 Vibrant Matter Solo Exhibition at the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ, and, in 2024, she was the Featured Artist at the Contemporary Women Artists Exhibition at the Peto Museum in Island Heights, NJ. She earned an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA, and a BFA from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO.
