Using imagery from dreams, mythology and their own wicked imaginations Paul Hansen and Michael Indorato have created works that wander back and forth through time and humanity. This exhibition deals primarily with their work on faces, which are twisted, turned, and layered upon each other to form psychological studies of the human experience.
The work on each painting is collaborative from start to finish. Each piece began with an underpainting, followed by an overlayed transparency. Their next step was to add even more painting to create depth and a multi-layered effect.
